A lot has happened since I last blogged. On Monday we went to Copperton to the A-MAZING park they have there. It’s so green and peaceful, I love it. Anyways, Carter is finally old enough to go down the slide (the baby one) and swing in the swing. He loved it so much that he didn’t want to leave! lol We had a picnic dinner and even got to play a little basketball.
It was a good little break to prep us for a busy week of packing. Even though I had been antsy to pack before, I now wanted nothing to do with it. Who knew we had so much stuff! I blame Baby Carter. lol Yesterday was the big move and it all went really smoothly. We rented a U-haul and were able to get most of the stuff in one trip. The problem was that Daniel wasn’t allowed to drive the U-Haul because his license had been expired for a year! We had no idea. Long story short his mom was kind enough to drive the U-haul from Magna to Provo for us (there was no way I could drive a monster like that).
The only downside was that we had to drive her home after which meant coming all the way back! So we drove back and picked up some miscellaneous stuff we had left behind, and back to Provo we went. We had a quick dinner (Del Taco) and discovered that Carter hates cheesy bean burritos? In his defense it wasn’t very good…. And so grocery shopping we went. Long story short (or really long story long I guess) we made it back to our new apartment around ten, which left us just enough time to put up Carters playpen, before collapsing on our mattress (which was on the floor in the middle of the room).
Have you ever seen that show Hoarders? When I woke up this morning and had to climb over and dig through random boxes for food and clothes, before we ran out the door to go to church, I felt like I would be an excellent candidate for that show.
…soooo for the next few days we will be unpacking, organizing, and cleaning. I can’t wait til this box filled apartment finally looks like home! 🙂
